Seventeen years ago Max had to learn how conquer his own insomnia with a variety of natural drug-free strategies, including self-hypnosis. Since then he has developed his own ‘ABC of Sleep’ approach to achieve better sleep, learning self-hypnosis, combined with his own unique form of ‘Mindfulness’ based Autogenic Sleep Training for Insomnia AST-i.
He also teaches the latest forms of sleep hygiene for better sleep. He has also created several better sleep programs that have won a number of sleep and Insomnia app awards.

Max holds ‘One-to-One’ and ‘Virtual’ Sleep Clinics either face-to-face or Virtual sessions using Zoom, WhatsApp or Skype sessions from The Max Kirsten Sleep Clinic, 35 Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge in Central London.
As a sleep consultant he specialises in treating Insomnia in London, and other anxiety related sleep conditions, and he regularly works in collaboration with the London Sleep Centre, Harley Street, London W1.
As an award winning sleep coach, he’s also developed and created his own unique sleep training system which includes his sleep protocol Mindfulness based Autogenic Cognitive Sleep Training, and his ‘ABC of Better Sleep’ and Sleep Hygiene, (which he teaches to all his 1-to-1 sleep clients). He also uses a number of sleep protocols including CBT-I, and ACT-I.

Max originally created two award-winning apps for achieving better sleep in 2011-12. these apps have been u[dated for [y].
The first is called the ‘ABC of Better Sleep’ and the second is called ‘The Insomnia Cure’ and these two sleep apps were until very recently available to download for the iPhone and iPad from the iTunes Appstore. Both of the sleep coaching apps will re-launch again in 2021.
