“Just a little shout-out. I’ve been afflicted with insomnia for most of my 6 decades. I started prescription prescription medication for it about 4 years ago. Then, in early January 2014, I bought the “ABCs of Better Sleep” from the Apple App store (it doesn’t seem to be available there anymore?), after reading about it in The Wall Street Journal. Well, I certainly needed it for a lot longer than a week. I was a hard-core case. By sneaking a lot of reading with a flashlight under the covers as a child, I had developed an intractable sleep habit of bedtime alertness. A sleep hygiene course I took in the 1990s didn’t help much. I actually listened to the app regularly for at least 18 months, but I am now delighted to report that as of January 2016, I sleep well & have finally transitioned away from prescription sleep medication. I’ve got the gist of the beginning of the Main Sleep Session memorized – I don’t have the end set in my head because I’ve fallen asleep long before I get there. I just launch it in my head, & off I go to dreamland. I’m really grateful. I wish I’d found this app sooner. What a difference it has made to my quality of life. THANK YOU!”
“Wow! I am a police officer and work a 5 on 5 off shift pattern doing twelve hour shifts of 2 days and 3 nights!! I have never been able to fall asleep since I was very little, can’t seem to find the off switch and have always envied people who fall asleep within minutes of hitting the pillow compared to my one hour… I also wake up all through the night…. Award-Winning Apps & Downloads
Max has created two award-winning apps for achieving better sleep in 2011-12.
The first is called the ‘ABC of Better Sleep’ and the second is called ‘The Insomnia Cure’ and these two sleep apps were until very recently available to download for the iPhone and iPad from the iTunes Appstore. Both of the sleep coaching apps will re-launch again in 2020.
